KDE 4.1 got released!
Today KDE team released the waited KDE 4.1 that is full of bug fixes, it haves a more mature Plasma desktop (I can’t wait for next year when 4.2 get released on 29th January), however, just installed it from the Kubuntu repositories and I can say that this is awesome but still, some applications need to get mature for KDE 4 and I think it will do best when 4.2 get released.
If someone has seen mine old blog, I have posted since early alphas of KDE4, till the full release of KDE4, and I can say that 4.1 is already almost finished for production use, but will not be completely until next release. Too bad that Intrepid Ibex is taking it as default desktop since, isn’t recommended yet, KOffice isn’t finished yet, Konversation hasn’t released any alpha, Amarok is going great with Alpha 2 that was released 3 days ago and I’m going to test it in few minutes when I download it. Is highly recommended to read the 4.1 announcement before installing it. Check out http://dot.kde.org/
I leave a nice screen shot for all
(Still using Amarok for KDE 3 in this screen shot)
